Real Time Tracking

So today I have been testing out the real time tracking that we will use on the journey. It consists of some hardware and a web front end. Just before we set off in August we will make the real time tracking live so that you should be able to see us whereever we are. We initially had some issues as the tracking software was updating too often so it was repositioning our location in less metres than the length of the boat! All of that seems to have been sorted, so our final test with the software will be a dummy run on Anitu, probably up to the nearest pub, just to check it will work on the canal network, as getting 3G and GPS signals on the canal network can be tricky, there will be lots of aerials on the narrowboat!

Not long to go now...maybe 36 days?
